If you own it and spend enough time hanging around popular cities like Oribos, you're bound to find an opportunity to join congo lines or form a massive circle of players all sitting astride their own Arboreal Gulper. The Smoldering Ember Wyrm (or Nightbane) is one of World of Warcrafts most poorly kept secrets, but now that we have moved past the Legion expansion its easy to get on your own, and is one of the coolest dragon mounts in the game. As the stone rests in your hand, visions of fire and of dragons dance through your mind, but you can hear conversation taking place in Orgrimmar and the familiar sight of circle portals bubbles to the top. It's also just one of the coolest, and easiest to obtain mounts in World of Warcraft. Cold to the touch when you first reach for it, this ember bursts into flame without warning and snuffs itself just as quickly. The Gulper is a 100 percent drop chance from a rare mob found in Ardenweald. Smoldering Ember Wyrm: Arcanagos sought to turn Medivh away from experiments into the arcane, but the influence of Sargeras had corrupted the wizard too deeply, ad the great dragon paid for the transgression with eternal, burning agony. How to get: To start you need to loot an Unusually Large Mushroom, from any mob in all of Ardenweald. I can tell a lot of work has already been into this little guide, and Im grateful for whats been done, but it needs to be revisited and polished as its unfortunately, well, a mess. I heard from a person that they killed it with 19 people that they didnt get a mount drop. Please have someone revisit the Smoldering Ember Wyrm guide. That would explain the drop rate not being 100. Ive ran this dungeon about 40 times with no drops for either mount, but my friend gets Midnights reins first try. Apparently this mount functions the same as the mount that drops from Nightbane, the Smoldering Ember Wyrm as described by this post from Blizzard CS. Any mob can drop the mushroom, and more likely than not you've already had one, or a dozen, and not even noticed. Just took my friend who started playing wow 2 weeks ago into Karazhan to farm the Smoldering Ember Wyrm. After you've acquired your mushroom, you can head off to spawn Humon'gozz, a rare boss with a fair amount of HP (I'd recommend bringing a friend or two to help you down him, as you'll all get the mount).
